Hey so I used the character generation tool (its great btw) to take my online characters offline. Started with a lvl 35 barb. Didn't do anything weird with his level or skill points trying to be as faithful as possible with stats and gear. The only "odd" thing I did was click the "unlock Hell" button in the quest tab on the advice of someone else on the internet as they said it was the easiest way to set it so that you could just go back and get all the quest based skill points and stuff.
Anyways just ran from rogue camp up through countess on normal and seemingly didn't gain a bit of exp. Did I do something wrong or am I not understanding a game mechanic?

Ok so, nevermind I guess I'm an idiot. I loaded back up and went and killed Baal and gained a level. Everything seems fine I just have an unearned Patriarch title now. Those are just aesthetic right? They don't affect loot drops or anything? I didn't get anything above a magic from Baal

Glad everything works. Titles are indeed only for aesthetics.
